Michelle Geiss is a writer, community organizer, and beekeeper with a love for understanding systems. Building on two decades of work in economic development, public health, and social justice, Michelle founded Atlantic Bee Company to elevate the wisdom of honeybees. She leads the AMERICAN BEEKEEPER project to gather and share beekeeper stories from across the United States. Dedicating time to creative organizing, community spaces, and regenerative land use builds her understanding of mutualism, ancient wisdom, co-evolution, and collective wellbeing.
Andy Cook has created portraits of land, systems, community, and survival for three decades. His Mamiya film camera serves as a portal into food systems, economic forces, industrial infrastructure, urban landscapes, and most recently, beekeeping. As a working artist, urban planner, and creative organizer, Andy has tuned into the intersection of real estate, art, and economics. As the photographer and lead collaborator on the AMERICAN BEEKEEPER project, he lends his keen eye for light, landscapes, and the nuanced stories of people and place.
